For Sale: Eisenberg Enamel bird brooch, from the Artist’s Series

eisenberg_enamel_bird-front eisenberg_enamel_bird-back

1955-1970 the maker’s mark was used with a copyright symbol. However, the Artist Series enamel brooches weren’t a thing until the 70s, so I would say this one is between 1970 and 1975.

Manufactured by Fallon and Kappel of New York.

Scuff on the head of the bird, otherwise in excellent condition.

Eisenberg Jewelry

My current sales:

Eisenberg Jewelry started out in 1914 as a women’s clothier, and used jewelry to adorn their displays. When the jewelry proved to be more popular than the clothes, they changed their focus and by the 30s were best known for their costume jewelry, including reproductions of 18th century fine jewelry.
